A 22-hectare lake halfway between Rennes and Angers, for fishing and hunting. At its largest, this 1-kilometre-long lake is 300 metres wide and contains a volume of approximately 350,00 m³. A river runs in and out of the lake and at its northwest tip there is a reeded area. Thanks to an electrically powered sluice gate, the water level can be lowered or raised. It is also used to empty the lake each year for maintenance to take place, a time at which the fish are sold. As a result, the lake is well suited for freshwater fish farming.
