A private road and a gate allow direct access from the property to the chapel. The house also served as a refuge for pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago, which passes near Vzelay. The Chapel of Saint Philip, now maintained by the local community, remains a destination for pilgrims and residents alike. After being abandoned for a while, the house was carefully renovated in the 1960s, preserving its original character.
