Despite a fire in 1902 and a closure in 1906, it reopened in 1908 and became a mixed school in 1966.The Brothers of the Christian Schools settled in Mauriac in 1840 and inaugurated their school in 1841. After closing in 1904, it resumed in 1906 under the direction of Brother Garnier Joseph.After several centuries of teaching, the Ensemble Scolaire Notre-Dame has definitively closed its doors, marking the end of a long educational tradition in Mauriac.Now unoccupied, the building of the former Notre-Dame school is up for sale.
