La Gaude : Your unspoilt village at the heart of the dynamic Ecovallée.

It was in the midst of the hills and fields of flowers of La Gaude that Marcel Pagnol settled in 1942 and developed a passion for growing carnations, the flower that would later inspire his masterpiece "Jean de Florette".
It is this typically Provençal setting that today attracts residents in search of authenticity and nature. The old village unfurls its historic facades in narrow streets dotted with a wash-house and fountains that lead to the Place du Marronnier or Place des Victoires, which hosts numerous events, and La Coupole, a cultural centre and cinema. The municipality has introduced an ambitious policy for environmentally-friendly travel, installing 5 self-service bicycle stations, while the Métropole bus network will take you to Nice or Saint-Laurent-du-Var.

La Gaude is also strategically located to enjoy the whole of the Côte d'Azur, from the ski resorts of the Mercantour to the beaches of the Baie des Anges, from the Italian border to the red rocks of Théoule-sur-Mer.
