A few years ago, half of this old barn was converted into an atmospheric house that perfectly meets today's requirements and wishes. The other half of the barn is still a storage and working space, with a concrete floor. The house is located in a small typical hamlet, about a 10 minute drive from the village of La Croisille sur Briance. Here you will find a café, bakery, supermarket, doctor and pharmacy. In addition, the village is known for its large monthly market. The hamlet consists of a few houses and barns. The atmosphere The barn was transformed several years ago as part of a family project. The solid wooden construction is visible, as are some stone walls. The grand staircase leading to the mezzanine is an eye-catching ambience. The height was fully exploited, but good insulation and the clever location of the wood-burning fireplace did not compromise comfort. On the ground floor is the spacious living area with its seating area and fully equipped kitchen. To the side are the bathroom, storage room and a bedroom. From the living space you have access to the outside both at the front and at the back, where there is a terrace on both sides. Upstairs are three spacious bedrooms and a modern and attractive bathroom (walk-in shower, bath, sink and toilet). The landing is deliberately open in order to reinforce the impression of space. Outside, to the rear is a terrace and the wooden swimming pool ready to use. The view of the Limousin countryside is magnificent and invites you to walk or cycle. Part of the land is maintained and part is used for hay by a neighbouring farmer. To the front there is an old pigsty used as storage. The floor is concrete. The garage on the small road through the hamlet is too low and too small for a modern car, but perfect for bicycles. If you wish, you can easily park your car(s) in the large barn next to the house.
