On foot its only a few minutes walk on the cobbled streets from the entrance of the village to this village house with 150 m2 living area on three levels. Here both family and friends can socialise in an exceptional environment with ambience from old time.

Entering the house takes us directly to the spacious kitchen and continuing through is a dining room facing a balcony with a splendid view over the village with the hills and mountains behind. On this level there is also a lounge as well as a shower room with toilet and a utility room. Going upstairs to the first floor there are two bedrooms plus a large living room with a roomy mezzanine that houses a sleeping area or perhaps a home office. From this level we have access to the large and partly covered terrace that has an even grander view of the village with the mountains on the other side of the valley with an impressive greenery to complete the picture. On the terrace there is plenty of space for larger dining parties as well as sofas and sun chairs. Continuing to the top floor we find the last two bedrooms plus shower room and Wc. On this level there is also a balcony by the small bedroom where some additional views of the village can be had.

Gilette is not a big village, but we do find some cafés and restaurants nestled in the old village that has been strategically built on the hilltop starting some 1500 years ago. Just a couple of minutes walk from the house there is an observation terrace with spectacular birds eye view over the valley with the river Var in the distance, its very hard to walk past this without stopping.

The village is also benefiting from the relatively new road that begins at the foot of the mountain and runs straight down towards the town of Nice and its range of shops and entertainment that is now within easy reach. Also, the international airport of Nice is within 35-45 minutes by car from the village.
