This is a 16th century tanner's house (monument) which is located directly by the river. On the terrace you have a beautiful view of the Viene and the medieval town with its old monastery and church. The house has several bedrooms with private shower and toilet. Starting a bed and breakfast is also possible. The house offers many authentic details such as niches, stained glass windows and old beams. Ground floor The building is entered through a beautiful old door. A small staircase leads to the first living room with its old fireplace. Further down the hallway, on the left side, is a refurbished bedroom with en-suite bathroom. It offers window doors to the terrace. The open and spacious kitchen is equipped with a wood stove and a cooking island. There is room for a large dining table. This space is connected to the new terrace (2018), by 2 window doors. It is a beautiful and unique place. There are sunny spots and shady spots. The (corner) terrace is 14 metres deep and 8 metres wide. First floor A wide oak staircase leads to the first floor. On the left is the second living room which seems very spacious with its ceiling height. The beautiful hallway with a stone wall on one side and wooden beams on the other leads to 2 bedrooms. Both rooms have their own shower and toilet and feature authentic features and details. There is also a second modern kitchen on this floor. This means that the entire floor could eventually be used as an apartment.  Adjacent to this kitchen is the fourth bedroom with en-suite bathroom. This room has a sloping roof and beautiful wooden beams in view. In the past, animal skins were hung to dry on this attic. This is why this stage is still partially open and the wind can blow there. There is ample space for storage and this floor offers possibilities for conversion.  Cellar Under the building there is a cellar with direct access to the river. This is where the animals were kept. It has a low ceiling but offers enough space to store tools, wood and the like.  Eymoutiers Eymoutiers is a small town of about 2,000 inhabitants. There is a cinema, several restaurants and a large weekly market. Very close by are several lakes. In the summer, there is a steam train in the area. The town is the gateway to the Millevache Natural Park. There are many hiking trails to discover in the area.
