In the top corner of the Natural Park of the Aubrac and sitting on the confluence of the rivers Lot and Truyere you will find the medieval village of Entraygues sur Truyere.  


Entraygues has over 1000 inhabitants but is catered very well with 2 bakeries, 2 butchers, 2 small supermarkets, chemist, doctors, physio, tabac, restaurants, bars, hotels and a swimming pool.

The house is one of the oldest in the village and the 16th Century gate opening onto the interior courtyard is classified as a historic monument, one of two in the village, the other being the Gothic bridge crossing the Truyere.  We ran this as a very successful bed and breakfast for 12 years.

As you enter the gate you pass through a passage that goes under the house and this opens onto the courtyard of 200sq metres.  The courtyard has under the house to the right a stable which is being used for storage or could make a lovely games room, a workshop and access to one of the two garages, the other accessed on the road

To the left of the courtyard are wide stone steps leading up to the first balcony.  The doors here open into the dining room to the right and straight ahead is the kitchen.

As you enter the kitchen of 25sq metres with its large central unit and plenty of storage the door to the right will take you into the living room with its high ceilings and large windows that open to the road below.  There are double doors in the living room leading into the dining room again with high ceilings and large windows and with the addition of built in walnut cupboards and of course the double doors that take you back to the balcony.  These two rooms are heated by wood stoves, both very efficient, and are 36sq metre each in size

At the back of the kitchen there is a corridor leading to three bedrooms and a small utility room. The bedrooms are 13, 14 and 40 sq metres in size respectively all with ensuite bathrooms. The larger room at the end of the corridor has a mezzanine leading to a loft that runs the length of the corridor. There is a separate toilet in the small utility room.

Back to the first balcony there are stairs leading up to the second floor balcony.  Off this is a small room, 8 sq metres, suitable for a study, a bedroom of 30sq metres with ensuite and another room of 36sq metres.  Between these two rooms are stairs leading to a 70sq metres attic.

The house, recently renovated has new electrics, plumbing and roof and is well insulated.  Heating is by wood stoves and electric in all other areas.  Water is heated by bottled gas and the house is on mains water. There is fibre into the front of the property allowing you to connect in all areas.
