A 250m apartment bathed in natural light inside a listed edifice in the historical heart of Dole, a charming town in France's Bourgogne-Franche-Comt region. The apartment is nestled upstairs inside the Htel de Vurry, one of the oldest edifices in Dole. The building dates back to 1540. Its towering roof has a 16-metre-high ridge beam that lies above Dole's other rooftops. The roof frame was built with the same timber used to make Notre-Dame de Dole collegiate church, which stands nearby. Inside, the spiral staircase is a rarity. As soon as you step into the edifice, the wooden door and the floor of old cement tiles give you the impression that you have travelled back in time. The whole building has been listed as a historical monument since 1993. It is the perfect example of Renaissance townhouses in France's Franche-Comt province. In the 18th century, interior renovation work was carried out on the edifice and the apartment.
