An old residence in need of renovation on the remains of an 11th century fiefdom, just over two hours from Paris. The original medieval fortress was destroyed during the Hundred Years' War. All that remains today of the 16th century castle and its estate are a farmhouse and several outlying buildings, one of which, in the centre, rests on the remains of the feudal residence. The moat of the original castle can be made out on the current cadastral survey. A general map of France, which shows the park and woodlands of the estate, also gives an idea of its size in the 19th century. The hamlet is divided into three distinct properties: the farmhouse on one side, the former feudal residence in the centre and three other buildings currently being restored on the other side.
