I'm Andy Portsmouth, the local agent for this secluded former mill and house with gîte, only 4km outside of the historical town of Confolens, Charente, fibre internet available.
The lane leads just to this house, so it's completely undisturbed by traffic, or neighbours: the environment is absolutely stunning: beautiful gardens, a river frontage, picture-perfect stone mill, and all surrounded by woodland. 
Pass through the gate and the lane is private, first on your right is the very spacious gîte (m2) with a huge living room (33m2)with logburner, kitchen/diner (23m2), mezzanine and bedroom with ensuite (24m2), and WC.
The gîte connects to the house through a conservatory (25m2), overlooking the gardens and river.
In the house itself, the living room and dining room are open to one another (44m2), connecting to a fabulous bright and spacious kitchen (18m2) with windows on two sides, opening to the garden.
Stairs lead up to two bedrooms (15m2, 11m2), and a shower room with Wc.
