On the edge of a largeish village in hilly countryside South of Cluny is a hamlet, and from one of its narrow lanes only the solid wooden entrance gate of this property is visible. But once we push it open, we see an extensive courtyard, a long stone-built outbuilding to one side, the main house squarely in front of us and also a very pretty view over the countryside. First built in the late 19th century as a farm, it became at first a week-enders' second home and now, after a thorough and recent renovation, a comfortable main residence.   The ground floor is a spacious living room and kitchen, each with doors opening onto the courtyard, plus a bathroom-cum-laundry and Wc. Upstairs are the main bedroom, a second double bedroom with an office space, a bathroom with Wc, and also a separate Wc. On the top floor is a large attic of which part has become a childrens' bedroom. More living space could be made here. And the same remark applies a fortiori to the enormous outbuilding which would be suitable for all kinds of projects, whether professional touristic or artistic. The garden is pleasant and reposeful, and there is a swimming pool which enjoys the right degree of privacy. Shops and facilities are close at hand in the village.
