Located in southern Ardèche, overlooking the French Tuscany, this splendid castle, listed as a Historical Monument, traces its origins back to the 14th century. From its medieval era, it has preserved numerous architectural details such as watchtowers, machicolations, and battlements.

Welcome to a place steeped in history, a stronghold nestled in the heart of a beautiful village, just an hour from Montélimar. Dating back to the 14th and 15th centuries, this majestic residence proudly stands, flanked by two towers that bear the imprint of the medieval era, retaining elements like watchtowers, machicolations, and battlements.

The soul of this residence is expressed through a splendid central spiral stone staircase, elegantly connecting three levels and an attic. In 1567, the central part was erected, enriched with watchtowers, arrow slits, and machicolations, added by the Lord of La Motte de Chalendar to protect his family from raiders. In the 18th century, a Tuscan touch was infused into the salon and the Florentine suite, featuring an Italian terrace and French ceilings.

This residence spans approximately 600 m2, offering spaces such as cellars, attics, an independent tower, a garage, dependencies under the moat, and even a well supplied by a spring. Outside, an estate of about one hectare unfolds with five diverse gardens, vineyards, and a pool.
