In Loire-Atlantique, in a park of nearly 8 ha, an elegant 17th century castle listed Mh to be restored. The castle can be seen from its eastern façade, at the end of a kilometre-long road bordered by ponds and woods. At its end, the road divides into two alleys that lead to the castle. One runs alongside an old caretaker's house, then stables, a vegetable garden and a chapel, the other runs along the outbuildings. A park, a pond, meadows and several wooded plots extend around it. The building covers an area of approximately 1,000 m². It is composed of a main body, flanked by two slightly protruding pavilions. Built of schist quarry block and rendered, the quoins, full spans and window frames are made of freestone bossing. The dwelling has three levels, one of which is under the eaves. The roofs, with two and four sides, are made of slate. The facades each have nine bays, all topped with dormers with a broken pediment surmounted by an ornament. The facades and roofs of the castle, as well as the chapel, have been listed Mh since 1982. The façade of honour is adorned above the main bay with a large triangular pediment engraved with the arms of its first occupants. The ground floor of the central building is composed of a succession of reception rooms. The pavilions house a kitchen and dining room reserved for staff. Spread over the two floors, about fifteen rooms can be converted.
