This is different to any other property I have ever seen and it is so cool and so cute.&nbsp;<br /> One of only three properties in a National Park overlooking Villena but actually within the town. The two neighbours couldn´t be more lovely and the owner has enjoyed every minute of living here as they have made her so welcome even though her Spanish is at a beginner’s level.&nbsp;<br /> The property has been totally reformed in the last three years and is now delightful and cosy with loads of exterior space and another few acres if you include the park.&nbsp;<br /> Access is via the park entrance, when I say “National Park” that is correct but it is nothing like a huge area in the UK it is called Los Cruces and it´s small and tranquil.&nbsp;<br /> Walking from the patio area at the front into the finca there is a lounge/diner/kitchen and then a short hallway to a shower room to the left and then the bedroom which is up five stairs to the right.&nbsp;<br /> From the rear door there is a fabulous small area with steps up to a tiled splash pool and then a few more steps up to a “cabina” a wooden sheltered area for relaxing in the shade and taking in the extraordinary views of the own and the castle which is lit up at night and looks incredible.<br /> The property has mains electricity and water as well as internet and the running are hardly worth talking about.<br /> <br /> Villena, located in the Alicante province of Spain, has several appealing aspects that make it a great place to live:<br /> 1. **Rich History**: Villena boasts a fascinating history, evident in its medieval architecture, including the impressive Castillo de Villena and historic churches.<br /> 2. **Cultural Events**: The town hosts numerous festivals, including the Moors and Christians festival, which celebrates its cultural heritage and draws visitors from all over as well as the Medieval Market weekend and at least two Music Festivals.<br /> 3. **Affordable Living**: Compared to larger cities like Alicante or Valencia, Villena offers a lower cost of living, making it an attractive option for families and retirees.<br /> 4. **Natural Surroundings**: The area is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, including mountains and vineyards, ideal for outdoor activities like hiking and cycling.<br /> 5. **Community Feel**: Villena has a close-knit community, allowing for friendly interactions and a welcoming atmosphere.<br /> 6. **Convenient Location**: It’s well-connected to major cities via public transport and is only a short drive from the beaches of the Costa Blanca.<br /> 7. **Good Climate**: The Mediterranean climate means warm summers and mild winters, perfect for those who enjoy outdoor living year-round.<br /> 8. **Gastronomy**: Villena offers delicious local cuisine, including traditional Spanish dishes and wines from nearby vineyards.
