Building With Preliminary Project In Rúa Poboadores | Poboadores 48-50 is a spectacular rehabilitation project by the Mam architecture studio that seeks to enhance the spatial qualities of the homes and their functionality according to the needs of each client. The opportunity for customization is extended in this case by making three rehabilitation proposals for one, two or three dwellings in the building, modifying the number of rooms in each case.Wide openings, circulation areas conceived not only as places of passage, but as qualified spaces and large and diaphanous rooms that characterize the intervention.The houses are conceived as a first residence or medium-term investment property. The housing program for three units focuses on traditional or tourist rentals, a consolidated activity in the city.All the houses have a façade facing the exterior street and the glazed gallery rises above the rear patio, which is not easily visible from nearby points, guaranteeing the privacy of its users. The combination of new technologies on the historic building and the relationship between the old and the new façade in the enlarged volume will form a new entity with a renewed personality of its own.The building is located in Rúa dos Poboadores, in the heart of Casco Vello, the charismatic old area of Vigo, which today is revitalized thanks to the recovery and rehabilitation actions that have allowed neighborhood life to gradually return to this beautiful neighborhood full of twists and turns and streets that wind towards the sea.
