This is an exceptional cortijo, which was constructed 23 years ago, was built by a local builder for his own use. The build quality and materials used are of the highest standard and there are many outstanding features. The cortijo, traditional in appearance, was constructed using modern methods and is fully insulated. &Nbsp The three bedroom property is located at an altitude of approximately 1650m and is set in 4.8 hectares of land. Access is via a 5.6km well used track, which means the use of a 4x4 is necessary. There is also an option to purchase a further 15 hectares of land adjacent to the property. &Nbsp The main entrance to the property is an outstanding custom made wooden stable door, which leads into a large open plan kitchen/dining/living area. One of the features of this room is the huge chestnut ceiling beam, supported at either end by a chestnut tree trunk split in half. There are beautiful chestnut ceiling beams and stone flooring throughout the property. The attention to detail is extremely high, to the extent of using traditional style porcelain electrical sockets and light switches. &Nbsp This room, the hub of the house, has a large open fireplace, fitted kitchen with huge solid chestnut worktop, large dining table and ample room sofas, display units etc. All the other rooms are accessed from here. This includes a useful store/pantry room, family shower room with antique style fittings, wc and porcelain washbasin. &Nbsp There are two good sized double bedrooms with free standing furniture and a further larger bedroom with two double beds and a large free standing wardrobe. &Nbsp A wood store is accessed from outside the property. The spacious area immediately around the cortijo is stone paved, has ranch style fencing and stunning views of the mountains all the way to the sea in the far distance. To the side of the house is a wonderful picnic/dining area with two natural stone tables and seats, shaded by chestnut trees.    Close to the house is a store building with the solar system and room for tools, garden equipment etc. &Nbsp The land has a natural spring, a large alberca and a water deposit similar to a plunge pool. The mainly terraced arable land is irrigated, ploughed and has a variety of trees including approximately 28 walnut, 18 chestnut, 7 cherry, 5 Paraguayo, almond, fig, apple and peach amongst others. There are also mulberry bushes and grape vines.    The cortijo has solar power, running water and a natural soak away.  The property, sold fully furnished, needs to be viewed to fully appreciate how exceptional it is.    As previously mentioned there is also the possibility to purchase another 15 hectares of adjacent land, owned by the seller.    If you dont know this area well, why not take a look at our exposure guide on the Alpujarras in the Area Guide section above (next to Overview).
