Magnificent estate in the heart of the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa This estate stands out for being located in its own valley, which provides absolute privacy and silence. It is completely surrounded by forests of beech, oak, holm oak, and a wide variety of riparian trees. The main property consists of a traditional Catalan farmhouse (masia) and two barns, with a total built area of 1, 050 m. These are surrounded by the estates own fields, with a stream running through the bottom of the valley. The farmhouse has three floors and requires a full restoration. The south-facing faade features two stone-arched galleries overlooking the meadows of the property. The estate also includes two additional ruined farmhouses, each approximately 200 m, with permission to be rebuilt.THE SCENEAccess to the property is via a 2 km dirt road. This picturesque track follows the course of a stream and descends through a stunning beech forest. Upon reaching the valley where the main masia is located, the forest opens up into wide meadows that define the estate. The untouched and wild nature stands out a preserved landscape with no visible power lines, modern buildings, or roads. At the far end, the masia is located to the right, slightly elevated at one edge of the meadows. The two ruins are about 1 km from the main house, elevated on the southern slope of the mountain. The estate is just 35 minutes from Olot and 1 hour and 30 minutes from Barcelona.THE TOURThe main masia has three floors. The ground floor was originally used for stables and animal pens.Access to the living quarters is via the west faade, directly in front of the era (threshing area). This entrance leads straight to the first floor, as the house is built into the slope of the mountain. From here, one can access both the first and second floors. The interior layout remains in its original condition, although unfortunately many of the floor structures have collapsed. The masia features large, noble rooms with high ceilings and galleries that invite you to enjoy the views. The two barns are located just a few metres from the masia. The two ruins, formerly homes for tenant farmers, have a built area of about 200 m each. They are located approximately 100 metres apart, along a ridge on the southern side of the valley.PRACTICAL DETAILSThe property requires complete renovation and is not connected to the electricity or water grid. It would be necessary to drill wells and/or implement rainwater collection systems, as well as install solar panels to ensure energy self-sufficiency.
