This unique estate has a name of its own. Its origins date back to the 15th century, it is not an ordinary villa, not an ordinary house and not even a luxury house, it is a unique jewel that has managed to preserve over the centuries its noble spirit and the rural life that once made it great and rich. The name is S'Atalaia. The architecture of both the mansion and its outbuildings speak of its past and tell the stories of the generations that made this estate a successful economic exploitation. This is why today we find elements such as the old chapel, the horse stables, the entrance for carriages, barns, cisterns, and buildings for sheep, pigs and other livestock that were once the main economic activity of this house and that today have been adapted to other uses. It is impossible to enter this estate without noticing the imprint of history on it. This estate, with an extension of 1.395.531 m2, is one of the few remaining properties on the island with more than one million square metres, which speaks for itself of the exclusivity of this property. It is still active today as a livestock farm and the island's typical almond and carob tree plantations have been maintained. In the recent past it was a producer of high quality cheeses, widely recognised by the best haute cuisine chefs of the moment, and from this period the estate inherited the livestock facilities and milk processing building used for this purpose in order to reactivate the activity. Today, s'Atalaia operates as a licensed agritourism and guesthouse with 24 places for holiday tourism, with demonstrable income. The main house, the former mansion of the lord of the estate, seems to be built on a watchtower supported by large semicircular arches, with corridors and ribbed vaults surrounding a central atrium. It was completely restored at the end of the 20th century, preserving its main architectural elements, while at the same time it was updated to adapt it to modern life, providing it with a kitchen, laundry, bathrooms as we know them today, facilities and separating the night area from the day area, with immense lounges and dining rooms that impress the visitor.
