Details:- Llançà (Costa Brava) - When we arrived in Cap de Ras and I saw this plot, I knew you would be mine. A gentle slope to the southeast, with the view wide open, between the pines of Borró and the Sierra de Estela with the Puerto de Llançà at its feet: El Port de la Selva, Cap de Creus, Tu y Yo and the horizon.
From our love this project was born, where life passes without obstacles, bathed in the sapphire of the sea and the gold of this sun that gives us so many days. We don't talk enough about what the light is like at this latitude compared to the Mediterranean.
I like the sea to the north in the midday light, when the sun brings out the blue of your eyes reflected on the seabed. I adore the evening light, when the light of the blue sky stains the whole sea south of the harbor with pearls. But above all, the gold of dawn, when Lorenzo rises above the horizon, floods the rooms to the east with reflections on the ivory stucco, the carpentry and the marbles that frame our history.
The idea was taking shape: the entrance at the highest and most discreet point of the plot, with the entrance of the main floor at the same level, dominating the environment. A porch to shelter you when you get out of the car before opening the house, and the ramp that goes down to the garage from the side, all well finished and landscaped.
A hallway with cupboards gives way to the double-height hallway, where the wooden balustrade and the stained glass window of the dining room begin to hint at the blue reflections of our intimacy. Behind the stained glass window the great hall dressed in ivory, onyx and sea in the east. Also double-heighted, the balustrade between the two suites with terraces on the first floor brings the spaces closer together and enhances conviviality. The north façade, protected by the mountain, two additional suites on the ground floor are the best place to rest. The south façade, with all the light and the view, the kitchen space with office, and the terrace of our sunsets.
The semi-basement with an additional suite, garage, storage rooms and wine cellars. We still kept our private forest at the bottom of the plot, where we could make a swimming pool with the changing rooms on the porch under the terrace. The sea was what moved you and me: a 200m walk to Canyelles Beach, Cala Bramant 400m from the front door, the Port next door.
We had the sanity and the rapture to make our dream come true in one of the most magical corners of the Alt Empordà. The best kitchens and restaurants with the best local food and wine product, terrestrial and underwater natural parks, bird reserves, land and sea sports... Our refuge in the middle of the starkest nature, where I want to come back to you every time.
