Casa Balanzat: built on the famous fortified walls around 1200, the oldest building adjacent to the Portella , one of the most important remains of this fortification. The tower of the house was also part of the fortified walls. In the 16th century the house was renovated and equipped, on Calle Mayor, with three Renaissance-style windows depicting the coat of arms of the family. The building, classified as an historic monument under the protection of the Ministry of Culture, has been totally renovated during many years of passionate work. Casa Balanzat is built in the upper and noble part of Dalt Villa 50 meters away from the cathedral and adjacent to the Castle. During the renovations, fine materials were used in the building, such as all the flooring of the entrance and of the apartment itself made of a very precious Portuguese pink marble. All the boiserie is made of the famous high quality Melis wood imported from the United States. The apartment is also equipped with two wonderful fireplaces with an antique design, one in marble and one in sea stone . The apartment is composed as follows: 3 bedrooms, 3 bathroom, double living room, dining room, kitchen and laundry. There are various panoramic views, some with terraces, looking over the whole port of Ibiza and its city below.
