Tallow-Wood was named after the majestic Tallow Wood trees on the property. These magnificent trees belong to the eucalyptus family. Tallow wood is a moderate to large tree occurring in wet sclerophyll forests of coastal regions from the Hunter River district of New South Wales to Maryborough and Fraser Island, Queensland.

 There are numerous spectacular sites suitable for building, it comprises mostly of undulating open grazing country with strategic stands of shade trees and divided into 4 paddocks.
