It is a truly vast expanse of property, and truly unique. Geographically unique on the entire South Coast, this region consists of three huge peninsulas. The Bremer Bay townsite is on the central Peninsula. Formerly a whaling station dating back to 1837, this is one of WA's oldest land titles and is close to the Bremer Bay town site. There is a well on site rumoured to be built by Matthew Flinders in 1801 - pre European Settlement, back when the British were still wrestling the French over who would stake a colonial claim to the Western third of our continent. 

If you are yet to discover Bremer Bay, you have just got to get here! Bremer is one of the state's most naturally beautiful coastal towns (and one of the state's oldest historic stone settlements - c. 1848) with a permanent population in the 100's which swells to close to 10,000 in the popular Easter and New Year Holiday periods... and for obvious reason!

The Bremer town site itself is on the banks of the Bremer River and Wellstead Estuary and the shortest of strolls to the tranquil waters of Bremer Bay proper.

Bremer Bay has quite arguably some of the most beautiful waters and swimming beaches in the world. In between the headlands are two massive bays, Dillon Bay and Bremer Bay - azure blue safe anchorages and whale sanctuaries.

So close to the Majestic, deepwater, undersea Bremer Canyon, the region is renowned for the deep sea fish species that can be found close to the shore and also the migratory Whales and Orcas that frequent the region.

The drive to Bremer from Perth is easily achievable in under 5 hours (512Km) and is an immensely enjoyable and memorable one, broken regularly by a range of beautiful and interesting spectacles.

Meander through once grand and historic Wheatbelt towns with impressive architecture highlighting how different times once must have been in these once buoyant economic railway towns. Cruise through bright yellow canola fields contrasting against vivid pink salt lakes and marvel on the last part of the route as the road veers around and hugs the base of the striking Stirling Ranges as they rise abruptly from the fields of flowers that surround them.
