Designed by acclaimed Wolveridge Architects with a brief to provoke warm childhood memories of the surf clubhouse and of the notion that city life and mayhem don't exist. 

The home itself encapsulates four main modules. Two main living zones separated by a services zone (kitchen, laundry, bathrooms) which is located directly over the rumpus room below. The fourth module is the same roofed external living area, enabling the north facing deck to link the dwelling interior with the landscape. 

Three generous bedrooms on the main level, comprising Master with WIR and ensuite, a double room and a bunk room. Downstairs fourth bedroom and bathroom with large living room and separate entrance provides wonderful flexibility for extended family or friends.

The planned form is rectilinear, with hallways wide enough for kids to ride their bikes, a robust approach to design. A second linking bbq deck completes the circuit. The materials incorporate rammed earth and recycled timbers, with stained plywood walls, dark ceilings which cocoon the occupants and encourages the enjoyment of light and the externally framed views of the landscape.
