There was an extension added to the house in the mid 2000s, but the roof bit where the new roof met the old roof wasn't done particularly well. It's still OK for the folks living there. It's not like the roof is missing. You won't get sunburn, but you might get wet. The ceiling in the kitchen did get damaged and they've pulled that down. One less job for you.
