The house was built around the early 1900's, which makes it almost 120 years ago. It was designed and built by the architect who was engaged to design and build the original Bonnie Doon Gold Club at Arncliffe.

The Boonie Doon Golf Course was reclaimed by Sydney Airport when it expanded in 1947, and the Golf Club then moved to its current location in Pagewood. Boonie Doon Golf Club is one of Sydney's most exclusive Golf Clubs.

This was his family home, and he tried and incorporate many of the features that were in the Golf Club House in this home.
