Glick House is a bold, semi-industrial statement — a stacked residence and studio, framed within a striking steel structure. Cited as one of Perth's most exciting residential experiments, it questions the suburban model and offers an inner-city retreat. In the book 'Houses for the 21st Century' Glick House shows how the “process of everyday living was to be elevated to a higher plane, lifted out of the mundane, becoming a celebration that offers a critique of convention”. Designed as both a home and a creative studio, Glick House is a masterclass in versatility — whether you work from home, entertain often, or seek a dynamic space that effortlessly adapts to your lifestyle.

A second structure, known as Cube2, expands the home's versatility, housing a workshop, garage, and yoga studio. Between the two forms, established landscaped gardens and a stainless steel plunge pool create a refined outdoor retreat, seamlessly merging work, wellness, and leisure.

Drawing from its industrial DNA, a steel exoskeleton defines the western facade, with pipe rail balustrades reinforcing its raw, structural aesthetic. The stacked form is crafted from a robust palette of concrete, steel, and shadowclad timber panels — where the warmth of timber tempers the precision of engineered design. Without internal stairs, there is a physical separation between the working and living space. Rooted in energy efficiency, the home embraces Passive Haus principles, ensuring a naturally balanced and temperate environment year-round. A 5.0 kW solar system and 3M Prestige window film throughout, further reduces UV by 99.9% and rejects 97% of the sun's infrared.

With a windowless ground floor elevation to the street, the residence prioritises privacy creating a sense of retreat and an almost bunker-like feeling once inside. Cocooned from the outside world, the ground-floor studio is a sanctuary for creativity and craft — an inspired space designed for bold ideas and purposeful work.

On the first-floor above, rectangular aluminium-framed picture windows and a continuous horizontal band of glazing introduce light, framing shifting vignettes of sky and space while enhancing the home's sense of openness and flow. Comprising a spacious living zone, this floor includes a light filled living area, the kitchen, two bedrooms and a semi-ensuite bathroom. As if perched amongst the trees, this level is light and airy and features dark polished concrete floors throughout. Sculptured custom cabinetry by local Perth designer and furniture maker Adam Cruickshank features prominently in the living room, adding practical storage solutions. Whilst the commercial-grade kitchen offers simplicity and harks to the home's industrial aesthetic.

To the east of the living area, the main bedroom unfolds — a moment of calm bathed in natural light, designed for restful retreats and slow mornings. The ensuite features double basins set against a cast concrete feature wall, while a sunken shower recess adds a touch of understated luxury, balancing beautifully with the warmth of the external timber panels. Meanwhile, the second bedroom, reimagined as a dressing room, drifts amongst the treetops.

Sitting atop of the primary residence is the rooftop terrace, offering 360-degree views of the surrounding Leederville area and the Perth City skyline. With reticulated lawn and a wooden deck, you'll enjoy watching the evening sunsets or sunrises in privacy, yet feeling like you're connected to the rest of the world around you.

Encircled by lush, established gardens, Glick House unveils an unexpected inner-city sanctuary. A selection of carefully chosen plants — American pecans, citrus, frangipanis, and towering traveller's palms — creates a sense of serenity and escape. At the heart of the landscape, a 1.6m above-ground stainless steel plunge pool nestles into its surroundings, offering a cooling retreat with sightlines to both striking structures.

The double garage, workshop and yoga studio mimic the design of the main residence and are cuboid in structure. The yoga studio offers views across the gardens to the main residence, and can be reconfigured to an office or a fifth bedroom. A sizeable functional workshop adjacent to the double garage includes an extensive storage area and an attic loft space. A hidden folding garage door and remote sliding gate access the double garage, which are designed for the utmost privacy. Featuring a stainless rainwater tank, Cube2 is insulated and air-conditioned, and also includes 3-phase power for fast charging for your electric vehicles.

Tucked into one of Leederville's most coveted pockets, Glick House places you at the nexus of urban energy and neighbourhood charm. Just moments from the vibrant heart of Oxford Street, where cafés, bars, and gourmet dining set the scene for effortless socialising, the residence is perfectly positioned for a life well lived. With Lake Monger and the Perth CBD only minutes away, Glick House offers a rare blend of inner-city convenience — an enviable lifestyle in one of Perth's most dynamic enclaves.
