DALRYMPLE HEIGHTS, 127 Chelmans Road – On the market!

127 Chelmans Road, Dalrymple Heights, Qld 4757
Rare Piece (Peace) of God’s Country – Is This Your New Home?
•	Located within the foothills of Mt Dalrymple, the second highest peak in Queensland, imagine living on just under 7 acres with rainforest trees all round in total privacy. This gem has arrived on the market for serious buyers wanting a change of lifestyle.
•	This historic property is located west of one of Queensland’s thriving coastal cities Mackay, on top of Australia’s unique Clarke Range.
(More information about The Clarke Range below).
•	The road from Mackay will lead you through the famous Pioneer Valley to the top; The Eungella Township. A just over 80km drive. Then a 30-minute drive north to your tranquil private hidden treasure.
•	Feel the pressure drop. Pictures cannot describe this quintessential property.
•	Driving in gives you goose bumps. Be careful of the local water dragon family sunning themselves at the 20-tonne capacity crossover. Close your eyes! Listen to the music; the purest freshwater creek flows, rainforest trees moving to the breeze and abundant endemic wildlife. Open them! Yes! Do you see what I see 🎶 360 views over the rainforest and neighbouring pristine salad-bowl farmland in the distance. You have arrived home.
•	The home is a 1996 local Master built solid hardwood (yellow stringy) home with 3 bedrooms / open space kitchen, dining, living area with a fully functional classic fireplace / separate bathroom, toilet and laundry. Oh, and the balcony is covered all the way round the home, perfect for all-year-round living. A grand slab with wheelchair access. The house yard is fenced.
•	There is also the original, very solid, hardwood home still standing proud on the property which has been converted into a shed space with rooms that could be a teenage retreat or an art studio as it is now.
•	The eye-catching master-built horse round yard is a horse lovers dream.
•	The half-cleared property runs two horses comfortably, but whatever the configuration you dream, the opportunity to be as self-sufficient as possible, or off grid, is doable.
•	The established orchids are thriving with life, one area called Citrus Lane. The fenced orchid includes, nashi pear, apple, lime, olive, mandarin, peach, plum, pecan, cumquat, macadamia, feijoa, and guava. And of course there are bananas.
•	Also several raised organic garden beds flourishing with life and a greenhouse. The watering is all set up.
•	There are two water tanks on the property with rain water run-off and pump up as required.
•	Even some private camping spots under shade for friends and family when they visit and play. One proudly called The Island.
•	All that, and importantly, nurtured with love by the owners, is the tree the Ulysses Butterfly flock to as it is its favourite. Be a local and hoy out when we see one, ‘Ulysses Butterfly!’
•	It’s more than a Tropical Paradise! It’s a home.
•	The surrounding localities of The Clarke Range are also thriving with life. One in particular, Finch Hatton. The famous Neem Hall camping and caravan park, the iconic Valley Rural Services and Mt Ossa Rural, a newly constructed mountain bike trail; and, under new management The Gift Shed: Café and Health Consultancy, Wazza’s Platypus Bush Camp up The Gorge where there are the very best swimming waterholes, and historic Finch Hatton Criterion Hotel. Finch Hatton also has the very best one day Show in Australia.
•	We are screening for the right buyer/s to continue to nurture the love that this historic property deserves.
•	If you feel like a change and would like to live along with The Clarke Rangers, please call Deb to arrange a private viewing.

THE CLARK RANGE – Eastern Australia | North Queensland
•	Due to the endemic Clarke’s profound beauty, it attracts visitors from all over the world; a calling to visit the iconic world renowned, Eungella National Park, where the longest stretch of unbroken tropical rainforest stands proud. The National Park is located just over 80km west of Mackay. The road from Mackay, one of Queensland’s leading eastern coastal townships, will guide you through the famous Pioneer Valley to the bottom of the Eungella Range. While driving the majestic incline up, waterfalls cascade the mountainside, enticing visitors to reach the top to the Pinnacles of the Pioneer Valley.
•	There is two Eungella’s in Australia both in the highlands. It means Lands of the Drifting Clouds in indigenous language and consequently if conditions are right, clouds settle lower than the mountaintops. The magnificent sensation of standing above the clouds is breath-taking. Walkabout.
•	The designated viewing lookouts on The Clarke parade paramount views. The most visited The Chalet Eungella in the heart of the Township, showing off the shear drop to the famous Pioneer Valley below. On flawless days, you can just see the end of the sky, and the distant land to the sea.
•	Remaining the longest preserved stretch of tropical rainforest in Australia, walking the Australian National Park hiking tracks exposes another world, each feeling like you are on a pilgrimage, stretching from Eungella Township south to Broken River then onto Crediton, passing the historic hall and camping area, and beyond and back.
•	There are several entrances for shorter walks by following directions available at the National Park hub, Broken River Information Centre a 20-minute drive from Eungella township, where there is a café, multiple areas for camping, and the eco-Broken River Mountain Resort. This is where you can see platypus swimming freely in the wild and the beautiful river flows.
•	Eungella Dam, a scenic water storage waterway built by Pioneers in the 1960s is also popular for camping and water sports including stocks of fish for anglers. One fish stock is a prized catch.
•	The Diggings turn off on the way to Broken River also has a vehicle tourist track where there is spectacular camping, and new kids on the block Eden Hills Café, with accommodation and camping. This is where the Rainforest trees meet the Eucalypts and you might spot a koala or two.
•	Or, back at Eungella Township a drive north to the end of the road to Dalrymple Heights there is a National Park hiking track specially created and managed to reach Mt Dalrymple elevated 1259 metres above sea level, being the second highest peak in Queensland. The views are spectacular and enlivening. That feeling of being on top of the world.
•	Importantly and what is so special about our unique Clarke is not only does it have the longest stretch of rainforest, it holds the greatest amount of deeply protected endemic species of fauna within it in the southern hemisphere, including Platypus, the Eungella Honey Eater, Eungella Rainforest Wallaby, the Brolga and Regent Bower Bird to name a few.
•	The Clarke Range has the very best farmlands within the very best salad bowls where proud producers are committed to serving community and visitors nothing but the very best Australia has to offer.
•	Other businesses include, but not limited to:
•	Accommodation in the Eungella township include the historic The Chalet Eungella with Eungella Cabins, and Eungella Mountain Edge Escape.
•	The region is extremely proud and supports, the only dairy left on The Clarke now known as Eungelladale Dairy, and Eungella Sawmill who have been ethically logging and milling the highlands ensuring our salad bowls stay intact and balanced with nature and managed.
•	Newly opened Breakaway Cafe in the Eungella township stocking local goods such as Lipsy’s Tricky Pig Sauces from the Source, world class CannonBee Honey, and Platypus Garlic grown chemical free.
•	Home of HillBilly Bakehouse
•	Cedar Gallery – located near the Broken River Information Centre. Friday to Sunday, Autumn to Spring by appointment and for 18+ only.

•	Two standing high community halls. Eungella Community Hall, aka The Hub, has a Men’s Shed and where the arts and craft Lady’s meet regularly. It also has 24/7 tourist amenities. Crediton Community Hall and the surrounding area has just been revitalised and a great spot for camping too.
•	Visitors experience the very best The Clarke Range has to offer. The expansive untouched rainforest is commendable to our region and The Clarke Ranger's who care about living in equilibrium with nature and managed.
